College Of Arts & Sciences

The College of Arts and Sciences is the liberal arts core of the University. It contains the School of Social Sciences & Education and the School of Sciences & Mathematics. The College offers a broad-based educational experience that includes quantitative analysis, the scientific method, historical and philosophical perspectives, the social sciences, foreign languages, and much more.

The goal of the College is to educate and nurture individuals to become life-long learners who positively impact their professions and society at large. Some of the opportunities in our College include a Geography program that teaches students Geographic Information Systems’ analysis and a Marine Science program that is a leader in studying regional water environmental issues.

Davis College of Business & Technology​

The Davis College of Business & Technology contains the School of Business, School of Engineering & Technology, and School of Aviation & Military Science.

The Davis College of Business & Technology prepares students to enter the dynamic and complex world of business. The philosophy that guides the educational process is to provide the working knowledge necessary for success in an organization, and to integrate this knowledge from the various disciplines of accounting, finance, marketing, and management into a meaningful whole. Theory is combined with a practical and pragmatic approach to the effective and efficient utilization of resources. Careful attention is given to preparing students to be career ready, and this goal is enhanced by the strong connections to the business industry in Jacksonville.

Linda Berry Stein College of Fine Arts & Humanities

The Linda Berry Stein College of Fine Arts & Humanities is dedicated to giving to each individual student the instruction and guidance needed to realize his or her full artistic and intellectual potential, and provide each student with ongoing opportunities for performance and exhibition, as well as personal attention. The College contains the School of Performing Arts, the School of Art & Design, and the School of Humanities.

Brooks Rehabilitation College Of Healthcare Sciences

Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences contains the highly-regarded Keigwin School of Nursing, School of Orthodontics and the newly created School of Applied Health Sciences. The College of Healthcare Sciences prepares students, residents and fellows to join a workforce community of healthcare professionals who provide exemplary service and to care for a diverse population of individuals. It is committed to preparing healthcare professionals for careers defined by excellence in practice, community service and lifelong professional development. Teaching, research and community engagement serve as core values. As part of the ongoing strategic plan, the College of Healthcare Sciences will develop new undergraduate and graduate health sciences and certificate programs while strengthening and expanding current programs to meet identified and/or emerging needs in healthcare; integrate evidence-based practice into rigorous academic and clinical programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels; leverage state-of-the-art simulation and technology to enhance student interdisciplinary learning and faculty teaching; build infrastructure to support faculty research opportunities; cultivate community partnerships to provide training/internships and future employment opportunities for students at all levels; and recruit and retain a diverse student body and faculty.

College of Law

The College of Law, through a unique partnership with the City of Jacksonville, is the first law school in Jacksonville in over twenty years. 91´óÉñèÏÈÉúǧÈËÕ¶'s fifth college is located in the heart of downtown. With state-of-the-art classrooms just a short walk from county and federal courthouses, legal offices, and government centers, students are immersed in the vibrant legal community. Against this backdrop, students will not only work closely with faculty who are committed to student success, but also establish meaningful relationships with professionals already in the industry. Students of the College of Law have the opportunity to enhance their educational experience through interdisciplinary programming and experiential learning, such as earning graduate certificates from existing advanced programs alongside their Juris Doctor degree. The College of Law aims to educate future lawyers, lawmakers and leaders by providing the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to succeed and make a difference in their communities.

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at 91´óÉñèÏÈÉúǧÈËÕ¶

Through an innovative partnership, 91´óÉñèÏÈÉúǧÈËÕ¶ and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), the nation's largest medical college and osteopathic academic health system, are are opening the region's first four-year medical school located at 91´óÉñèÏÈÉúǧÈËն’s Arlington campus, "LECOM at Jacksonville University."

Institutes Specialized Organizations

Public Policy Institute

The Public Policy Institute offers a two-year Masters in Public Policy (MPP) degree, which is the first MPP Program in Florida. In addition, the Institute has established the first Master in Public Policy dual degree programs in the state. This includes the Master in Public Policy-Juris Doctor in conjunction with Florida Coastal School of Law (MPP-JD), Master in Public Policy-Master of Business Administration (MPP-MBA) and Master in Public Policy-Marine Science (MPP-MS) joint degree programs.

Marine Science Research Institute

Marine Science Research Institute (MSRI) focuses on the St. Johns River estuary and coastal marine ecosystems. The MSRI is a LEED certified Gold facility by the U.S. Green Building Council. The University’s goal is to provide a premier biological and marine environmental research and educational facility for northeast Florida. 91´óÉñèÏÈÉúǧÈËÕ¶ has offered an undergraduate marine science major since 1978, and offers Masters of Arts and Masters of Science degrees in marine science. The MSRI is a multi-discipline facility which also houses the St. Johns Riverkeeper, the Millar Wilson Laboratory for Chemical Research, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Laboratory for Northeast Florida. Sustainable features include solar hot water and rain water harvesting for waste water processing and boat wash down.

As a nexus between the physical and virtual world, we encourage students to ideate, collaborate, and innovate.  These skills are directed toward future forward solutions to engineer and build an empowered generation of learners.
